PMA Making a Difference for Those in Need
When Grandview High School asked the public for Hygiene Donations. The IRS KC Service Center came out in a BIG way. Through their donations PMA was able to provide toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, soap and so much more!! Grandview High School was so thankful!. Lorri a fellow IRS worker reached out to me and suggested task a local warehouse distributor for donations. I called them in April, then May, June, July, August. Just reminding them that I’m here and was hoping they had any donations they could donate. Then one day in September, they called me and asked” Are you the person that keeps calling us”? I squeamishly said Yes. He asked what I wanted, and I stated again that we were hoping for a donation to help Grandview High School and their community. He said I only have laundry detergent and oxy clean. We received 12 pallets and were able to help with over 700 products that was distributed throughout the community. Salvation Army, Grandview High School, Grandview Assistance Program, Emmanuel Church, Battered homes for Women and so much more!!!!
During this PMA campaign we were able to touch hundreds of people in need.
Great job Kansas City! You are making a difference at the IRS and in your community!
