Highlights from the Annual PMA Member Meeting:
A Commitment to Change and Collaboration

The Annual PMA Member Meeting brought together members and IRS leaders for an insightful session featuring Kenneth Corbin (Chief, Taxpayer Services), Traci DiMartini (Chief Human Capital Officer, IRS), and Jason Briefel (Director of Government and Public Affairs for PMA).

  • Thank you to all who attended - we received an overall 4.8 success rating!
  • In addition, we had four winners of great prizes including T-shirts, PMA coasters and a $200 gift card!

The meeting focused on the ongoing transition from Wage and Investment (W&I) to Taxpayer Services, leadership challenges, and the critical role PMA plays in shaping the future of IRS management.

Managers, Did You Know?

1. Managers are required to complete the certification for any employees who does not report to their official POD a minimum of twice per pay period for their full tour of duty. This certification covers both full day exceptions and partial day waiver requests, as well as requests to telework from a location more than 200 miles from their POD or work from a satellite office and replaces former Forms 15072 and 15088. The employee’s current exception to reporting will be reviewed under this policy.

Two Hours Excused Absence for Holiday Activities

Commissioner Werfel has authorized managers to grant their employees two hours of excused absence (administrative leave) for holiday activities in December.

Please see the official memorandum (.pdf).

A Leaders’ Alert is scheduled for publication later, and an IRS Headlines article is scheduled Dec. 4. This is the only excused absence officially authorized for holiday events.

Please share this message throughout your organization, as appropriate. And feel free to convey the appreciation of Commissioner Werfel and the IRS senior leadership team to your managers and employees for continuing for deliver outstanding service throughout the year.
